Admission to the Library
- CEM Library is open to UPLB and Non-UPLB affiliated clients for study and research according to the Library’s admissions policy.
- All users must scan their UPLB ID card in the monitoring system when entering and exiting the library.
- Non-UPLB affiliates [Researchers/Employees and Students (at least 3rd year HS or Grade 9, Senior HS, Undergraduate, and Graduate)] are accepted during MONDAYS ONLY. Accommodation of researchers from distant institutions and walk-ins who happened to visit on any day aside from Monday will depend on the availability of seats. Read more about visitor access here.
Conduct within the library.
- Noise, disturbance, or inappropriate behavior is prohibited, including abusive or threatening behavior toward Library staff and other Library users.
- Drinks may be consumed as long as they are non-alcoholic and in non-spill containers.
- Library users are asked to treat other users with consideration.
- No material other than official notices from the Library or the School may be distributed or posted within the Library without permission.
- Furniture, fittings, or equipment must not be misused or their arrangement altered.
Loan facilities and terms of borrowing
- UPLB constituents with valid UPLB IDs may borrow from the Library. Read more about borrowing privileges here.
- Library materials on loan to one person may not be transferred to another. The person whose name the loan is made is solely responsible for the safekeeping and due return of items loaned.
- All Library materials borrowed must be returned within the stipulated loan period. Failure to do so will result in the application of appropriate sanctions.
- No book or Library property may be taken from the building without authority.
Copying in the Library
- Library users must comply with the Ph copyright law and Fair use when copying any material and in all copying carried out within the Library, whether by using the Library’s photocopiers or by any other means (i.e., digital photography).
Use of information technology facilities within the Library
- The use of information technology facilities within the Library is governed by the UPLB IT Policy. By accessing and/or using the IT facilities, you agree to be bound by these Conditions of Use.
- The software, databases, websites, and other electronic resources accessible via the Library are owned by the College, UPLB, UP System, or various publishers and other third parties. Users may only access and use these resources in accordance with any applicable terms of use, including any relevant license.

- You may access the UPLB Citizen/Client Satisfaction Survey. This online form serves as a client feedback mechanism for UPLB and its offices/units. All information and responses collected, which may include some personal information, shall be kept confidential.
